70 'Climate Emergency' Protesters Arrested Outside The New York Times

According to a report by Reuters, police arrested 70 environmental protesters outside the New York Times headquarters who laid down in the street and attempted to scale the building to demand that the newspaper start referring to climate change as ‘climate emergency.’ A police spokesman reportedly said that New York officers arrested 67 people and Port Authority arrested three others. Spokeswoman Danielle Rhoades Ha told The Guardian, “There is no national news organization that devotes more time, staff or resources to producing deeply reported coverage to help readers understand climate change than The New York Times.”
