“It’s beyond time to act,” says Dr. Karen Beazley of the climate crisis.
Beazley, a professor at Dalhousie’s School for Resource and Environmental Studies, is one of more than 11,000 scientists around the world who signed a letter warning of a climate emergency. She is an environmental scientist and professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S.
The letter appeared Nov. 5 in the journal BioScience. It reminded scientists and academics of their obligation to warn people of the dangers of climate change.
