We have seen Governments taking unprecedented actions and people adapting to a completely new way of living to tackle the pandemic. We have heard politicians saying that they were listening to and acting upon the science to fight this pandemic. But why are they not listening to what climate scientists have been warning us about for decades? Why do we only see baby steps being made when dealing with the climate & ecological emergency (CEE)? And why have people reacted so differently to these crises?
Chaired by Dr Alison Green (www.scientistswarning.org), four world experts answered these and many other direct questions from a live audience, giving an insight into the psychological aspects associated with the two crises.
Panel featuring Dr Cameron Brick (University of Amsterdam), Prof Wändi Bruine de Bruin (University of Southern California), Prof Susan Michie (Director, Centre for Behaviour Change, University College London) and Prof Lorraine Whitmarsh (Director, Centre for Climate Change & Social Transformation, Cardiff University)
