Infant Feeding in Emergencies

According to the WHO, exclusive breastfeeding would save 860,000 lives per year, mostly in children under 6 months.
Even in dire circumstances, women can breastfeed and make a difference to the short and long term health of their babies. This training will help you know why this matters, and what you can do about it especially in the current climate of COVID-19.
Information covered : the importance of breastfeeding as the only healthy method of feeding in an emergency, how to support infant feeding, nutrition in infants and toddlers, nutrition in breastfeeding women, and how to talk about these issues with service users.
Who should attend? Anyone who works with refugee/migrant families, children, and pregnant women; regardless of the specific type of work they do.
