Nishant Lahiri is a high school senior and researcher who shares ideas on how everyone can contribute positively to climate change by signing up to capture carbon dioxide for recycling in a process similar to the way we recycle plastics. The process is called integrative carbon reduction technology (iCART). You will be intrigued by Nishant’s ingenuity, successes, and failures as he takes us on a journey of discovery to help the planet. Lahiri is a senior at Corning-Painted Post High School in Corning, NY. He has developed iCART, an innovative system that enables individuals to take responsibility for their carbon footprint. He conducts research at Cornell University on the adsorbents best suited for the iCART process. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
