North Brooklyn Fracked Gas Pipeline Action | Extinction Rebellion NYC



On Friday, February 28, Extinction Rebellion shut down construction on a fracked gas pipeline in North Brooklyn. After the city declared a climate emergency last April, and the mayor committed to no new fossil fuel projects in NYC, this 6.8-mile-long natural gas pipe represents an assault on the local community and planet. Ten rebels were arrested in a protest, followed by a rally on Saturday.

This was the third in the series of actions, and we plan to continue until the city takes action on the climate crisis, and cancels National Grid’s harmful pipeline. To join us in this undertaking, see the links below:
