'Observations close to home' by Anya Trofimova (Young Poets Network)

‘Observations close to home’ by Anya Trofimova is the first-prize winning poem in the Climate Crisis and You poetry challenge on The Poetry Society’s Young Poets Network, in partnership with Freud Museum London. The challenge asked young poets worldwide to write about how the climate crisis was affecting them and their mental health. The winning poets filmed themselves performing their work, and this was shown at the Freud Museum’s digital conference, “The Climate Emergency: Psychoanalytic Perspectives”, in May 2020. You can find a selection of these recordings, like this one, on our channel.

You can find out more about the challenge, read the winning poems and get inspired to write your own poem, here: https://ypn.poetrysociety.org.uk/workshop/the-climate-crisis-and-you-a-new-poetry-challenge/
