The Concept of 1 – Global Warming

The number 1
Only exists as a concept
Polarity seems to
Be the only constant.

And what it means,
Is that we are always ,
Influenced by dreams,
Of someone else’s knowledge

Order in this chaos,
And we call it a structure,
Habits in communities,
And we call it a culture.

We believed, That greed would pay.
Now we’re alone, with nothing to say.

We neglect our brothers, Disrespect our mothers,
Put ourselves first, Before all others.

We cannot tame, Our selfish ways,
But we can recognize it, And hope we can change?

We are not alone, on this spinning rock,
We all call it home, and the climate’s in shock,

We know what we need,
What we need to do,
To save this planet
And humanity too.

But we fear each other, because we love greed,
How much more can we take, from society?

We don’t want to see the truth, But it’s staring us in the face,
We are running out of time,
To save the human race.

We watch as our world, Overheats in the fires,
Our now ears plead, To give us pacifiers

It will take us all, for the world to protect.
Because The number one, is only a concept.

We can’t afford to get this one wrong,
And we know what’s been wrong, for far too long.

We can’t agree to do what is right,
Maybe it’s time, Humanity fights.

The leaders we have, don’t realize the priority
Corruption and greed, masks their morality,
And here we are risking the rest of the majority,
When did Humanity, become a nationality?

If we can’t pay to live,
Why would we pay to fight?
If there’s nothing to live for,
Who’s morality is right?

We are not in this alone,
We have to work together,
The concept of 1
Does not last forever.

Look how far we’ve come,
We can travel to every kingdom,
We can speak to every culture,
We can love with every nation

We can see our futures,
We can build computers,
We can work together,
And become shared consumers

We have the knowledge, to succeed
We believe, we are freed.

We have the chance to make it right…
We run the risk of starting a fight.

Will we choose to be selfish,
When nations start to threat,
Will we ever learn,
The number 1 – is only a concept
