Swift Parrots, or swifties, are beginning their migration back to the mainland from Tasmania around now.
Incredibly, the migrating swifties will be flying back to their NSW forest habitat to find it is being logged, so soon after the devastating bushfires.
It’s yet more evidence of how Australia’s nature laws need to be strengthened, as a recent report by our friends at Environmental Justice Australia proves.
