Rising Sea Temperatures, Changing Weather Patterns, Development Related Activities and several other man-made factors are affecting marine life & directly impacting the livelihood of the fishermen of Maharashtra & Mumbai.

Coastal ecosystems & wetlands like the mangrove forests and biodiversity creeks have been removed over the years for commercial and infrastructure development. Environmental Degradation & man-made factors combined have significant risks for coastal regions and their populations, mainly the Kolis & other tribal communities.
