Working with Greenpeace to stop Amazon deforestation



With concerns about soybean growers clearing land in the Brazilian Amazon, Cargill, McDonald’s and Greenpeace banded together in 2006 to help create the Soy Moratorium. Since companies refused to buy soy from newly deforested land, the rate of rainforest deforestation has dropped 80 percent – a remarkable success story.
