This summer it was hard to feel the sense of freedom and elation the longer, sun-drenched days usually evoke. Our country burned, flooded and was pummelled by cyclones and damaging storms in quick succession.
Almost 80% of Australians were impacted by the fires and half of the population now says the environment is one of our nation’s top two issues. Climate-induced anxiety is at an all-time high.
Hold onto this feeling. Remember it when you vote, when you talk to your neighbour about the weather, when you do your grocery shopping, and when you’re about to make an impulse purchase.
Channel your fear and anger into something more intentional, creative and constructive. Transform your angst into action #climateemergency
