Since I can’t be an activist anymore on the streets due to Covid-19, i’m taking it to our digital world. Did you know that @cargill is the largest agriculture company in the world? Which has turned large parts of our planet into industrial monocultures to produce cheap meat, cacao and palm oil. There is no other company that has such a large impact on the ecological destruction of our planet, the exploitation of animals, the loss of biodiversity, the extinction of species and the violation of human rights. In 2010, Ahold (also owner of @albertheijn, @etos, @gallengallofficial) has signed several agreements to end deforestation, but despite its own sustainability pledges, it recently broke ground on a new meat packaging facility in the U.S as a joint venture with Cargill. Ahold has the power to stop Cargill, but it’s inactivity makes them complicit in Cargill’s crimes. Help Ahold to stick to their promises by sending messages to company’s like @albertheijn, or commenting on their social media about the current situation, or by sharing this post. Let’s take care of our only planet together ????????.
