About This Session:
How will the Biden administration tackle the challenges of climate change?
The ideological divide in the United States on the subject of climate change has impeded progress in curbing greenhouse emissions. But extreme weather events at both ends of the thermometer have focused attention on the consequences of inaction. What role will the United States play in future negotiations on climate?
About the Presenter:
Dr. Marc Simon is Chair of the Department of Political Science and Coordinator of the Peace and Conflict Studies program at BGSU. He teaches courses on international relations, foreign policy, peace studies, and conflict resolution. He also runs the BGSU Model UN program. His research examines war and political violence, nonviolence, and conflict resolution. He is currently working on a project to evaluate the effect of climate change on terrorism and political violence.
