Beyond Reconciliation Conversation Khelsilem

Truth and reconciliation and decolonization are daunting topics for many Canadians. The political, social, and economic landscape is changing quickly, and increasingly includes Indigenous peoples across Canada. But what does that mean for businesses, families, relationships, workplaces and communities?

Join Squamish Nation member, fluent language speaker, elected councillor and Squamish Nation official spokesperson, Khelsilem for a candid and thought-provoking conversation about the realities, opportunities, risks, and roles each of us can play in reconciliation and beyond. Produced in partnership with Re/Form Conference and hosted by design strategist, engagement specialist, and community activist Mark Busse.

This event will open with a live performance by Salia Joseph, a local First Nations musician and artist from the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Snuneymuxw First Nations. She sings in a band called An̓usáyum̓ (Two Berries) as well as a traditional Sḵwx̱wú7mesh dance/singing group called Ta Na Wa Káwstem.

Tickets for this event are free, but donations ($6 suggested) will be graciously accepted with proceeds supporting the Squamish language and culture non-profit Kwi Awt Stelmexw. DONATE HERE (
