Climate Change Denial: When Life Imitates Art

“Don’t Look Up,” the Academy Award-winning film by Adam McKay, based on a story by David Sirota and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Stream satirizes climate change denial and inaction. But it’s almost too real to be satire, as demonstrated in this real clip from British television. Like the anchors in “Don’t Look Up,” the anchors in this show complain that the news of climate change is a real bummer and wish they could talk about something more upbeat instead.
