Sky News host Andrew Bolt says global warming has become an excuse for “not thinking” and for not doing the “simple things” that save lives and properties and keep our cities watered – things like building dams.
Mr Bolt assessed some recent flooding events, saying his first reaction is sympathy for the people who are having their homes flooded, their businesses ruined, and who are having their crops and fencing swept away.
“But my second reaction is anger,” Mr Bolt said.
“Look at all this water – we could have stored it, at least some of it, to drought-proof our cities and many irrigators for generations.”
He said water is “going to waste” with dams not being built, with instead “global warmists” stating it is better to try and change the whole world’s climate.
“It seems our experts keep forgetting that Australia really is a land of droughts and flooding rains,” Mr Bolt said.
“We know these floods will one day be followed by droughts, and then we’ll wonder, where did all that water go?”
