Dr. Sylvia Earle has been exploring the oceans for more than sixty years – but now she’s warning the world to change its ways or face oblivion

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature

Dr Sylvia Earle’s warning resonates with Greed is what is killing our world. No empathy. No feelings. So many people don’t care about how they affect the world. They want more for themselves. Forget their neighbors. We could do amazing things if we worked together. If competition was taken out of the equation, can you imagine? What if money didn’t exist anymore? We all worked to build a better world together? We’re so far from that. I believe that someday we’ll get there. Peace!

This woman is a hero and we should all listen to her warning – just like we should have listened to Rachel Carson’s warning about not knowing the consequences of our actions. Now it’s so obvious what we are doing. WE JUST NEED TO CHANGE OUR ACTIONS …..NOW! Heed Dr Sylvia Earle’s warning.

No excuse, yet we keep flaunting our most base and common traits, ignorance, greed, selfishness and primitive territoriality. Some people choose for the world to be divided, well if those people would take a good look from above, they would not see the globe crisscrossed with red lines. Global problems require global solutions.
