The sky darkened sharply and billions of hailstones fell on the town.
Residents were looking for safe places.
Several people took refuge in a local mall.
Unfortunately, large hailstones caused damage to cars and buildings.
There were no reports of injuries.
Hilton is a small town located near the city of Pitemaritzburg in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
The population is about 10 thousand people.
