“I believe that the reef is extremely important to us and my people. It’s been such a major food source for generations and generations, and I believe that’s why I am here today as a ranger, to help look after the reef and restore it for the kids after me, and their kids and their kids. I think it’s definitely our generation who needs to stand up and do something at this time. The reef is definitely not getting any better, but this is what we’re here for, and as a ranger, I feel like I do my part, so yeah, I am very happy where I can help.”
