KZN Floods | Land use and development, climate change lead to devastating consequences for residents



A report from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change notes that the world will reach or exceed 1.5 degrees of warming in the next two decades. This will negatively impact African economies, agriculture and ecosystems. The report says incidents of heat waves, heavy rainfall and droughts are likely to increase. Residents in KwaZulu-Natal are still picking up the pieces after two flood incidents earlier this year.
