Hello all,

Saw lots of comments on my old video in relation to issues people are having with getting through to the Post Global Warming Age, I loved playing this game in my teens, so thought I’d give it another go and managed to get through again to the Post Global Warming Age.

Just some tips for people struggling which helped me a lot:

1. Follow a 9×3 building style (3 HD Res – Large Park – 3 HD Com) and repeat with all public sector / utility services (schools, hospitals, water pumps, etc.) every 6th grid – Repeat this and keep 1/3 of the map for just HD Industry. Try to get Education and Health levels to above 90 (Libraries help a lot) – You may need to use the “MONEYBAGS” cheat in the previous age after completing the Symbol as you will need to bulldoze everything you have built from the dawn of civilisation age and also remove all water from the map. I did this and built myself a few Coal plants plus some roads in the 9×3 layout.

2. Once you hit 2070 the year will change into “20XX” – Please save before you attempt to “Pollute” the map – I followed some guidance where people said to build Coal plants to replace all the large parks you would have built if you used tip 1 – This did not work for me and reduced my population to below 100,000. What did work for me was to replace all the large parks with HD Industry in the map – That being said you need to try and keep the demand for Industry on the RCI bar there so you may need to bulldoze some other zones or buildings to create this demand.

3. Build all the buildings which Professor Sim will mention during your play through of the Global Warming Age

4. Bulldoze all trees

5. Wait and hopefully you will get the message

Hurricanes are the easiest natural disaster to cope with in the game with Tornadoes and Earthquakes occurring on an annoyingly frequent rate during my most recent play through.
These are tips which helped me and I do not know for sure if they are the official criterion required to progress to the Post Global Warming Age. I managed to complete it this time without the money cheat which made it a lot more satisfying.
