Heather tells a story of a community struggle against local government in attempt to save the last bit of green space in the area. Tidemill Garden was a natural lung and contained both untouched flora patches that were a home to many birds, insects and other wild life as well as spaces designated for human recreation. The destruction of the garden was detrimental to local environment, significantly raising the levels of air pollution. The authorities had the audacity to destroy the garden and to declare climate emergency on the same day. While the battle for Tidemill was lost, the community spirit awoke.
