Agriterra and partners (Moyee Coffee, The Fairchain Foundation, Kipkelion District Cooperative Union and Kenya Agriculture Livestock and Research Organization (KALRO)) have developed a lowcarbon coffee chain by using local waste streams to replace chemical inputs with locally produced bioalternatives. Over 7,000 smallholder coffee farmers in Kericho County, Kenya have already joined the project, and there is room for many more.
