Pollution Climate Change Holocene Deforestation Population Acidification Y Not Freakin' Recyclable
This is a reprise of a talk I gave on June 30th 2022 to 6th formers from Highgate School and the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham.
In Part 1 I look at the nature and urgency of the climate crisis that we face. Things look very difficult for the years ahead, But in Part 2 I go on to show that many of the technologies we need to allow us to live well while avoid carbon dioxide emissions are already with us. There is – still – some hope for avoiding the worst possible outcomes.
